Circuit City
Circuit City (NYSE: CC) is a distributor and retailer of brand consumer electronics, personal computers and entertainment software. Circuit City is a Fortune 500 . As of November 30, 2007, operates 688 Circuit City Superstores and 13 elsewhere in the United States. Circuit City Superstores vary in size from 15000 to 45000 square feet (1400 to 4000 m) and offers a wide selection of brand-name consumer electronics, personal computers and entertainment software.
Circuit City also has more than 800 retail stores and dealer outlets in Canada. Circuit City locations in Canada are operated by Circuit City InterTAN Canada Ltd., which acquired May 19, 2004. InterTAN runs The Source Circuit City (formerly Radio Shack) in the chain of Canada (some of them now called The Source of Quebec), as well as HRT UpClose Studio, and G-Wiz.

In 2001, Circuit City Superstore introduced a new format that was much more in line with the "Big Box Retail" store design before their designs. The new stores have a brighter, more open to the word of sales allow customers to easily navigate the merchandise. The format allows you to place all products, except those that are too large for a client to carry themselves on the floor of sales. In 2007, new formats include a store of 30000 square feet store aimed at eliminating previously underutilized space. Approximately one third of the new openings will be in a 20000-square-foot store format that is used in trade small urban areas or as a filler in the localities.
